What patients want to know before the first visit

A family practice in Villingen-Schwenningen looks after patients with public and private insurance, children from primary school age included. Before the first visit, patients should find everything they need: which services exist, how a visit works, which documents to bring and how prescriptions are ordered. The team, the practice rooms and open positions belong there as well. Anyone who does not know the practice yet should also see at once where it is and when it is open. The task was to answer these questions on one single page, calmly, clearly and without detours.

One page, eight sections

We developed the concept, texts and design. The page consists of eight sections: services, treatments, before the visit, prescriptions, team, practice, careers and contact. A header with an anchor menu leads there, and on small screens it turns into a menu that opens and closes. Photos for each service, for the team and for the practice rooms accompany the texts. Fonts and images are stored on the site's own server, no outside services are loaded, which makes data protection simpler. The page is static and needs no database.

Open or closed, visible at once

Today the opening view shows whether the practice is open at the moment and when it opens again, calculated from local time in Germany. The service tiles open the matching treatment list and close the one opened before; it covers five groups from prevention to optional services. A section of its own explains prescriptions and e-prescriptions, changes to appointments and the emergency service outside consulting hours. The careers section lists three open positions, including a training place. Consulting hours and a link for route planning appear in the contact area.
