Fixing the problems found in design and code

Descriptions for images, clear headings and usable forms

A draft accessibility statement that you have legally checked

A report on what is fixed and what remains open

What we say plainly

We review and build technically to the WCAG guidelines. We do not give legal advice and we do not confirm that your business complies with the law. Whether and how the BFSG applies to you, please clarify with your legal adviser. There are exceptions for small businesses.

Automatic add-ons are not enough

Add-ons that promise accessibility with one click usually fix only part of the problems. Real accessibility comes from how the page is built. That is why we also check by hand.

How it works

We begin with the review: automatic tools across all pages, plus operation with the keyboard alone and a test with a screen reader on the most important paths. This usually takes three to five working days. You receive a list of issues sorted by severity, and we discuss with you what is fixed first. Then we rebuild: contrast, labels, order, forms. Afterwards we check again and write the report on fixed and open issues. Everything together usually takes ten to twenty working days, depending on the size of the site and the number of issues. That is a guide value, not a promise. We do not give legal advice, and we do not confirm that your website complies with the law.

How you measure success

You can follow the progress yourself. Measure the accessibility score in Lighthouse, the checking tool in Google Chrome, before and after. Compare how many errors the automatic check finds. The report lists fixed and open issues for each page, so the number can be counted. For the most important paths, such as contact or ordering, it states per path whether the keyboard and screen reader test was passed: yes or no. Automatic tools find only part of the problems, so a good score is no proof. Repeat the measurement after every larger change to the site. That the site complies with the law, or that no complaint arrives, we cannot promise.

Frequently asked questions

Does the BFSG apply to my website?

Since 28.06.2025 the law has applied to certain online services, for example online shops. There are exceptions for small businesses. Whether you are affected is for your legal adviser to judge, we do not give legal advice on it.

Does an accessible website look worse?

No. Good design and accessibility go together: readable type, clear contrast and unmistakable buttons help everyone.

Does the site stay accessible when I change content later?

Not automatically, but you can do a lot to help. We give you a short checklist for new content: describe images, keep headings in order, give links clear text, keep enough contrast. That keeps the level you have reached. Larger rebuilds or new features should be checked again. On request we take that on as a separate job.

Do you check every single page by hand?

The automatic tools run across all pages. By hand we check the most important paths and one page of each type, for example home page, contact, form and ordering. That finds the problems that repeat across many pages. The report states exactly what we checked and what we did not. With very many pages we agree the selection with you beforehand.

What does an accessible website cost?

That depends on the size and condition of your site. You receive a written fixed-price offer before we start, payment only after approval.
